Pronunciation
[-] Introductory Spoken English
This course is made up of 22 lessons, with approximately 1,500 supporting exercises.
Lessons vary in length from 10 – 15 minutes, however the time taken to complete each lesson will depend on your mastery of the content.
Accompanying each lesson are approximately 20 - 45 minutes of exercises, as with lessons you can progress at your own rate.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Read and pronounce 1,500 of the most frequently used words.
- Read and pronounce simple unfamiliar words (with two syllables) by using the color and sound coding system of the program.
- Read and pronounce words containing the “schwa” sound.
- Recognize, name and spell the 10 short and long vowels sounds of a,e,i,o,u.
- Recognize, name and spell the 18 single-letter consonant sounds of English.
- Recognize, name and spell the 8 consonant digraphs.
- Recognize, name and spell the vowel diphthongs, double vowel sounds and double consonant sounds.
- Recognize, name and spell the two vowel sounds of the letter y.
- Recognize, name and spell voice and unvoiced consonant pairs.
- Recognize and correctly pronounce words containing exception rules.
[-] Advanced Spoken English
This course builds on the Introductory Spoken English course with a further 20 lessons, accompanied by another 4,000 supporting individual exercises.
Lessons vary in length from 10 – 15 minutes, however the time taken to complete each lesson will depend on your mastery of the content.
Accompanying each lesson are approximately 20 - 45 minutes of exercises, as with lessons you can progress at your own rate.
The exercises use a variety of structures to develop the necessary listening, speaking and reading skills needed for accurate, fluent pronunciation.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Read and pronounce consonant blends.
- Recognize and correctly pronounce linking sounds in words.
- Recognize and correctly pronounce stress patterns in multi-syllabic words.
- Recognize and correctly pronounce intonation patterns in spoken English.
- Recognize the morphology of English words (base word, prefix, suffix).
- Recognize and correctly pronounce compound words.
- Separate and pronounce the syllables of multi-syllabic words.
- Pronounce most 1,2 and 3-syllable words in English by using the color and sound coding system of the program.
- Pronounce several thousand 1,2 & 3-syllable words (without using the color and sound coding system.

Listening
[-] Listening Exercises
This course is made up of 110 listening exercises that will improve your listening and speaking skills.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Comprehend short monologues.
- Understand descriptions and follow simple directions.
- Understand the gist of a conversation and extract specific factual information such as numbers, dates, time, etc.
- Listen to a conversation, recognize the correct response and understand roles and relationships, mood, attitudes, intention, feelings or opinions.
- Understand short talks on a range of subjects and in a variety of accents.
Listening is made up of 15 Lessons each with 6 - 8 exercises.

Grammar, Reading and Writing
[-] Intermediate
This course is made up of:
- Listening exercises
- Model essays
- Reading comprehension exercises
- Writing and grammar exercises
After completing this course of you will have enough knowledge of English to:
- Talk about common or work-related topics
- Begin and maintain conversations on familiar themes quite easily
- Produce simple sentences and ask questions with reasonable accuracy.
- Write a short letter or multi-paragraph essay of at least 200 words on general topics (although your grammar, spelling and punctuation will sometimes might still be inaccurate.)
- Give details and factual information describing simple events and feelings
- Read and understand texts of around 750 words on general topics
- Listen to and understand talks and conversations on general topics of up to 10 minutes in length.
You are well on your way to being able to talk to and understand a range of people and have fun with English!
Ideal for those who are approximately at a band-score of:
- 4 in an IELTS test
- 400-480 in the paper-based TOEFL test
- 100-160 in the computer based TOEFL test
- or would have passed the PET test (Cambridge Preliminary English test).
The are two levels of Intermediate:
Intermediate 01 – 15 Lesson each with 8 – 12 exercises
Intermediate 02 – 15 Lesson each with 8 – 12 exercises
[-] Upper-Intermediate
This course is made up of:
- Listening exercises
- Model essays
- Reading comprehension exercises
- Writing and grammar exercises
After finishing upper intermediate course, you will be able to:
- Communicate reasonably successfully in most social situations and familiar vocational fields.
- Engage in spontaneous conversation.
- Speak at some length on general and some specialized topics.
- Express a range of meaning well and your personal views clearly.
You will also:
- Have good control of basic sentence structure.
- Be able to use complex sentences without too many errors.
- Be able to write a 300-350 word essays on a range of topical subjects giving your opinion, developing arguments and describing people, places, processes, attitudes and feelings.
- Be able to read texts of authentic texts in English of around 1,500 words on a variety of topics on and understand discussions, talks and conversations of up to 15 minutes in length.
At this stage, sometimes your accent may interfere with communication and repetition may be needed, but you’ll have the skills and vocabulary to correct any communication breakdown by paraphrasing.
Ideal for those who are approximately at a band-score of:
- Around 5 in an IELTS test
- 480-600 in the paper-based TOEFL test
- 160-250 in the computer based TOEFL test
- Or, have passed Cambridge FCE (First Certificate in English)
- Or, are trying for Cambridge Advanced English (CAE)
The are two levels of Upper-Intermediate:
Upper Intermediate 01 – 15 Lesson each with 8 – 12 exercises
Upper Intermediate 02 – 15 Lesson each with 8 – 12 exercises
[-] Advanced
Once you have finished our Advanced Course you will be using English automatically.
When speaking, your pronunciation, stress, rhythm and intonation will rarely interfere with people understanding you.
You will be able to:
- Communicate satisfactorily for most social, vocational and academic purposes.
- Convey meaning in a variety of contexts.
- Speak at length with confidence on familiar topics.
- Speak fluently, with very little hesitation.
- Understand lectures of around 20 minutes in length and listen to radio, television and other sound media comfortably.
- Write argumentative essays logically with full supporting detail and relevant, clearly organized arguments.
- Write reports describing tables, processes and graphs using varied and well controlled sentence structures.
- Read authentic texts with understanding of gist, factual detail and inference.
You will have a broad range of vocabulary items, including colloquial expressions and idioms and be usually accurate in their use.
Ideal for those who are approximately at a band-score of:
- Approximately 6 in an IELTS test
- 600-670 in the paper-based TOEFL test
- 250-300 in the computer based TOEFL test
If you have passed the Cambridge Advanced English test will find these upper-intermediate and advanced lessons a very useful tool.
The are two levels of Advanced:
